Beitenu center run by Odessa community was chosen by Migdal JCC as the central place for its two Seders. There were several reasons for that. First of all, the meaning of the word in Hebrew — “our home” — stimulated for the main Jewish holiday to be held in a family circle. Secondly, nearly all of the 40 regular participants of the project heard for the first time the word Pesach, not to mention its regulations. In this light, thorough cleaning of Beitenu premises, search for homets and cooking traditional (according to strict Kosher rules) Pesach dishes was a learning experience for all the children and their parents. After that, they enjoyed family style Seders, which embraced some 400 participants.
